Bradford on Avon’s Arts Festival opens with the happy return of Bradford’s wonderful sculpture garden.

Shadows of Stagman

Reaching for Spring 2013
Renowned as a creative corner of Wiltshire, the Bradford area is home to a diverse array of sculptors, working in a mix of media including stone, ceramic, porcelain, metal, wood and glass, each producing individual, and original work.

The new venue is one of Bradford on Avon’s hidden gems, Lynchetts. A secret garden nestled in the heart of this charming market town. This year, as an extra treat, look out for artists working in the garden.

The candlelit opening party, Saturday 6th July, gives you the opportunity to spend a summer evening wandering amongst the art works and to share a glass of wine with the artists to a backdrop of live music.
To add to the atmospheric opening some of the pieces will have a life of their own.

If the art isn’t enough of a feast for the eyes, this garden also has the most magnificent panoramic views across Bradford on Avon, to Wiltshire’s rolling countryside beyond.

Many of the pieces will be for sale, so as you meander around the delightful terraces, paths and gazebos, you may stumble upon the perfect treasure to take home and plant in your own garden.
